Dukia Gold is a gold and precious metals refiner and the only full-service bullion-merchant in Nigeria, West Africa. Dukia Gold aggregates responsibly sourced raw materials such as gold dore and other precious metal materials, and refines it into investment grade ‘good delivery’ bar or coin. Dukia sells its finished products to high networth individuals and corporate investors such as banks and other financial institutions, including discerning corporates & individuals.
The ‘Good Delivery’ bar presented by Dukia Gold for sale in the investment marketplace is of .9999 purity and will afford the investor the opportunity to buy a product with high intrinsic value and an assured market when the investor chooses to liquidate its investment.
Dukia Gold was incorporated on March 4, 2019 with RC 1564963 as a Special Purpose Company with the sole responsibility of manufacturing, refining, minting as well as trading in Gold and Precious Metal Bullion, Bars and Coins. With this, Dukia Gold set out on a journey that puts Nigeria on the global map and at par with the major Gold & Precious Metals refining and producing nations.
Dukia Gold obtained its license as a refinery on May 15, 2019 and assembled the necessary right of way, plant, machinery and equipment including every other activity essential for the commencement of profitable and sustainable operations.
Though formally constituted in 2019, the people constituted as Dukia Gold management has between them over 200years of hands on experience of the Gold and other Precious Metals sector both internationally and nationally. More importantly most of the management had been informally working together within the sector for at least 10 years pre-incorporation of Dukia Gold
Dukia Gold has achieved success in its OECD & LBMA compliant gold sourcing program under its Urban and Rural mining initiatives that create high-grade recyclable household and residual gold and mineral ores across Nigeria.

Tunde Fagbemi
Chairman
Tunde has deep insight, extensive working knowledge, and business relationships with world-class precious metals refineries such as Baird & Co (UK) & Royal Canadian Mint (Canada).
He has garnered extensive hands on experience in the Solid Mineral Value Chain across West Africa & other parts of Africa. He has clear and extensive understanding of what it takes to get Mines to Market. Tunde is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, England & Wales, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Tunde is a very active member of the Nigerian Mining Community & the Canadian Mining Community. Tunde has deep contact in Hatton Garden, London among Jewellers, Precious Metals Resellers, and Assayers.
Bose Owolabi
Managing Director
Bose Owolabi has cognate experience in metals trading, and in providing logistics solutions across West and Central Africa.
Bose Owolabi is an alumni of Cranfield University, UK, Lagos Business School (LBS) and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She is a Fellow of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She is an astute precious metals trader, management guru, transport and logistics specialist. She has deep experience in Management Consulting, Financial Advisory Services, Corporate Finance and Financial Modelling in natural resources financing, logistics and transport.
Paul Beesley
Chief Operations Officer
Paul Beesley has over 41 years of working experience. He ran the bullion coin outlet of Mocatta and Goldsmid and represented the company at the daily gold fixings held at N M Rothschilds. As his career progressed, he joined the trading room team where he moved on to managing the group worldwide metals and money liquidity and its inherent yield curve risks. He also spent time travelling across the world visiting central banks and mining houses to discuss and assist with their yield management and hedging requirements. Paul returned to the precious metals market with Baird and Co. before joining Dukia Gold.
Akin Akintola
Chief Technical Officer
Akin Akintola has decades of experience in the precious metals industry. Akin held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Engelhard UK and Engelhard-CLAL Group, a global industrial fabrication/refining and precious metal trading JV, between Engelhard Corp (US) and Fimalac (France). He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Akin has an MSc in Management from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK; a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting & Finance, London School of Economics and a Bachelors degree in Agriculture from the University of Ife, Nigeria.
Funmi Ajayi

With substantial years’ experience in Consumer Banking, Management, Product Development Strategy as well as FinTech Digital Banking, Funmi Ajayi has reached the summit of the Financial sector. With these experiences, she became not only proficient, but also versatile as she ventured into the public sector where she gained more experience in Policy Making as the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Commerce and Industry, which she used in developing commercialization and industrialization of the state.
